About

A small team in Mississauga that builds the whole thing.

Small on purpose. No account managers and no hand-offs: the people who design your site are the people who build it, ship it and answer the phone.

The short version

What thismeans for you.

Your business is probably already doing well. A gym with five hundred reviews. A vintage shop with fifteen thousand followers. A tattoo artist booked out for months. If any of that sounds familiar, you also know the feeling: the website makes you look smaller than you are, or there is no website at all.

Working with us means you talk to the people building your site, every time. No account manager relaying messages, no ticket queue. You say the photo is wrong, and the person who can change it is the one on the phone. Changes happen in hours, not sprint cycles.

And you never have to imagine anything. Usually you see a finished site, live on the internet, on your own phone, before you commit to a thing. If it is not right, you tell us what is wrong and it changes. If it is not for you, you say no and nothing is lost.

How we think about it

Four thingswe believe.

Nobody templates a model. You build it.

A template is a tell

People cannot always say why a website feels cheap, but they can feel it, and they decide something about you in about two seconds. A site assembled from a theme announces that the business did the minimum. That is a bad first sentence about a business that does very good work.

DugOut's crates. You dig, you remember.

One moment beats ten features

Nobody remembers a feature list. They remember the bit where the frost wiped off under their finger, or the crate they dug through, or the film that moved when they scrolled. Every site gets one of those, and it comes out of what the business actually does.

Bash's whole audience arrives through one bio link.

Most of your visitors are on a phone, inside an app

A very large share of traffic to a local business arrives from an Instagram bio link, which opens in Instagram's own browser. That browser breaks a lot of expensive websites. We test in it on purpose, because that is where your customers actually are.

The empty plot. The next call starts a build.

You talk to the builders

Most studios put an account manager between you and the people doing the work. Here the people on the phone are the people on the build, so questions get answered by whoever actually wrote the thing, usually the same day. One number, in writing, before anything starts, and it does not move.

Under the hood

Built tohold up.

Everything is written as real code, by hand, with nothing rented and nothing bolted on. What that buys you is simple: the site opens fast on a phone on a bad connection, it works inside Instagram's browser where your customers actually tap your link, and there is no plugin that expires or breaks it while nobody is looking.

It also means the site is genuinely yours. Nothing about it is locked to a subscription or a page builder, and it will still be working, unchanged, years from now.

  • Fast on a phone
  • Works inside Instagram
  • No plugins to break
  • No subscriptions
  • Yours to keep
